Hello, My Name is ... Eduardo Segura

THE FLATS – Ranked among the top 60 players in Spain before enrolling at Georgia Tech, Eduardo Segura comes from a family of accomplished tennis players.

He settled into the lower half of Tech’s lineup in the spring of his freshman year, playing mostly at No. 5 and 6 positions, and moved up to No. 3/4/5 as a sophomore, and played mostly at No. 2 and 3 as a junior. This year, he plays No. 3 and leads the Yellow Jackets in singles victories while teaming with fellow Spaniard Carlos Benito to become one of the nation’s top doubles teams.

Segura was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll each of his first three years at Tech. His grandfather played in the Davis Cup for Brazil, and his grandmother won national championships in Spain 27 times.
