Segura scored a straight-set victory over Andrew Adams of South Carolina at the No. 3 singles position to help Georgia Tech stun the 17th-ranked Gamecocks, 4-2, keeping the Yellow Jackets undefeated at 4-0. His 6-4, 6-2 win put the Yellow Jackets ahead for the first time, 3-2, in the match. The Madrid, Spain, junior also partnered with freshman and fellow Spaniard Carlos Benito to capture a 6-2 win over South Carolina's Kyle Koch and Chip Cox, the nation's 24th-ranked doubles team, to remain undefeated in dual matches this spring. He is 3-1 in dual-match singles play.
Virginia's Julia Elbaba, who is the nation's 11th-ranked singles player, won the women's honor after posting a 2-0 mark in singles play in a 6-1 win against No. 44 VCU and a 5-2 triumph versus No. 33 South Carolina.
