Avery Bartlett Qualifies for NCAA Indoor Championships
Georgia Tech track and field sophomore invited to College Station, Texas for championships
THE FLATS -- Georgia Tech track and field's sophomore Avery Bartlett was invited to the NCAA Indoor Championships to be held in College Station, Texas on Mar. 10-11.
Bartlett, a Tallahassee native, was invited to race the 800m run. At the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships, Bartlett broke the Georgia Tech school record in the 800m run, set by David Krummenacker in 1998. Bartlett's time of 1:47.32 earned him a fourth-place finish and All-ACC honors.
Bartlett is no stranger to the Georgia Tech record book. He was a member of the distance medley relay team that set the school record during the 2016 indoor track and field season.
Bartlett will race in the 800m prelims on Friday, Mar. 10, scheduled for 7:20 p.m.
