Jackets Set to Host Yellow Jacket Invite

The Jackets are set to host the first of two home outdoor meets.

THE FLATS - The Georgia Tech track and field team is set to host the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Griffin Track Friday and Saturday. The 5,000 meters at 8:30 p.m. is the only event Friday, while a full slate of competition Saturday is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the shot put and running events beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relay.

Fans wishing to attend the meet on both days are welcome to park in the McCamish Lot.

Seventy-nine Yellow Jackets are set to compete in 27 events throughout the two-day meet. Fans can follow along with the live results on www.deltatiming.com.

The Jackets are coming off a successful weekend at the Alabama Relays. Jazmyne Taylorwon the 400 meters,Bailey Weilandwon the high jump andBrandon Lasaterwon the 1,500 meters at the meet. Lasater earned ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week honors for his performance in the 1,500 meters.
