Georgia Tech Track Travels To Florida Relays

THE FLATS –
The Georgia Tech track and field team travels to Gainesville, Fla. to compete in the 69th Annual Florida Relays Friday and Saturday at the Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium. Action begins at 10 a.m. on both days.

Tech will compete among several ranked teams, with the host Gator men (No. 3) and women (No. 4) ranked highest among all competitors. Other NCAA Division I ranked programs on the men’s side include No. 6 Florida State, No. 8 Southern California, No. 11 Ole Miss, No. 17 Indiana, No. 23 Baylor and No. 25 Oklahoma State.

On the women’s side, ranked teams joining the Gators are No. 6 Texas, No. 12 UCF, No. 14 Baylor, No. 19 Georgia and No. 25 Southern California.

Eight Jackets rank in individual events according to the USTFCCCA’s most recent weekly report –
Broderick Snoddy – No. 36, 100 meters
Shawn Roberts – No. 12, 800 meters
Brandon Lasater – No. 21, 800 meters
Nikita Kirillov – No. 16, pole vault
Aaron Unterberger – No. 37, pole vault
Jonathan Gardner – No. 22, triple jump
Julienne McKee – No. 10 triple jump; No. 15, long jump
Jhanelle McLeod – No. 11 triple jump

Last time out, Tech posted 17 top-three performances, including four first-place finishes at the Yellow Jacket Invite March 29-30.
