Angelo Taylor Moves On To Athens

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Angelo Taylor, formerly of Georgia Tech (1997-98), will get a chance to defend his Gold Medal in the 400-meter hurdles after finishing second at the U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 48.03 on Sunday afternoon to qualify for the Athens Olympics.

Sophomore NCAA national champion, Chaunte Howard, will compete in the finals of the women's high jump on Monday night at 10:15 p.m. ET after qualifying with a mark of 5'11.50" on Saturday night. Thirteen women will compete for the top three spots tomorrow night for the right to represent the U.S. Olympic team in Athens.

David Krummenacker, also a 1998 Tech graduate, will try and qualify for his first Olympics in the finals of the men's 800 meters on Monday night after finishing in the top eight on Saturday night. The men's 800 is scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET.
