Burnett Earns ACC Honor

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech junior Chris Burnett has been recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

Burnett led the Yellow Jackets to a second-place finish in the Gene Mullin Invitational with a 5K time 16:08.48. Burnett’s seventh-place individual finish in the 10-team race was a career best for the junior runner from Sandy Springs, Ga.

Georgia Tech will travel to Louisville, Ky., for the Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 17. It will be the final tune-up before the 2015 ACC Cross Country Championship held Oct. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla.
