Comes from a very athletic family: mother, Victorian Ward, played basketball at Eastern Arizona College; father, Robert Newton, played basketball at University of New Mexico; her aunt, Kasha Lawrence, played basketball at Boise State; another aunt, Jill Ward, played basketball at Yale; her uncle, Brenton Ward, ran track at Northern Arizona University; uncle, Wendell Lawrence was a triple jumper at Boise State and competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics for the Bahamas...
