SYRACUSE, N.Y. --Francesca Pan and Zaire O'Neil each scored 20-plus points, but it wasn't enough as Georgia Tech dropped an 88-77 decision at Syracuse Thursday evening. With the loss, the Jackets dropped to 12-4 overall and 1-2 in ACC play.

How It Happened
Tech pulled out with an 11-point advantage, 19-8, in the first frame, but the lead would be short-lived as Syracuse used a 22-4 run spanning both quarters to switch momentum and grab the lead, 32-23, with 6:22 to play in the second quarter. The Jackets would continue to chip away at its deficit and trailed by a field goal at halftime, 40-38.

Elo Edeferioka knotted the score immediately out of halftime before the Orange reclaimed a four-point edge, 45-41. With back-to-back layups from Zaire O'Neil, the Jackets tied the score for the final time at 45-45 with 5:57 left in the third frame. Francesca Pan would bring Tech within one point hitting a three-pointer less than a minute later, but it would be the closest the Jackets would come the remainder of the game. Syracuse reopened a double-digit lead in the final frame.
