#ProJackets: Marshall Inks Camp Contract with Fever

Feb. 12, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS –

Former Yellow Jacket Tyaunna Marshall has inked a training camp contract with the Indiana Fever.

Marshall was selected 14th overall by the New York Liberty in the second round of the 2014 WNBA Draft. Marshall was the eighth Georgia Tech player drafted and the sixth under head coach MaChelle Joseph.

She attended training camp with the New York Liberty in 2014 and saw action in three preseason games. After being waived by the Liberty, Marshall played overseas in Italy for Vigarano. She is currently playing in Romania where she is averaging 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for Sf. Gheorghe.

Marshall rewrote the record book during her impressive career on the Flats. The Upper Marlboro, Md., native became the all-time leading scorer in school history and the first Jacket to score 2,000 points. She finished her career with 2,129 points and was named to the All-ACC First Team, ACC All-Defensive Team and the Georgia College Women’s Player of the Year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club for the second consecutive year as a senior.

Marshall’s 2,129 career points rank 17th on the ACC’s career points list. She ranks in the top 10 in Georgia Tech’s record book in points scored (1st, 2,129), steals (2nd, 282) and rebounds (4th, 850). In her senior season, Marshall set the school record for points scored in a single season by becoming the first Jacket to score at least 600 points in one season. Marshall finished her senior campaign with 609 points and averaged 19.6 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game and 2.7 steals per game.
