GREENSBORO, N.C. - After finishing the 2015-16 season on a four-game winning streak with a 18-11 overall record and a 8-8 mark in the ACC, the Georgia Tech women's basketball team has been slated as the #7 seed in the 2016 ACC Tournament.
As the #7 seed in the tournament, the Yellow Jackets face the winner of #10 Wake Forest and #15 Clemson on Thursday at 6 p.m. on RSN. The Demon Deacons and Clemson face each other in the first round on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets defeated Clemson twice this season and closed out the regular season with a win against Wake Forest.
The ACC Tournament takes place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., from March 2-6. Weekly session books are still available by calling 1-888-TECH-TIX. Single game tickets can be purchased here.
The Yellow Jackets are 15-36 overall in the ACC Tournament and 10-12 under Coach Joseph. With an expanded conference, the ACC Tournament features first and second rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals and the championship. Under Coach Joseph, the Jackets are 1-1 in the second round.
In the ACC Tournament the Yellow Jackets are 2-4 against Clemson, which includes an 80-53 win in last year's first round and 2-2 against Wake Forest.
All 14 games of this year's tournament will be televised. The first, second and quarterfinal rounds will be carried by the league's regional sports networks. Both Saturday semifinal games will be carried nationally by ESPNU, while a national audience will also watch Sunday's championship game via ESPN. In addition, all games will be available via ESPN3 and WatchESPN. Greensboro Coliseum will play host to the ACC Women's Tournament for the 17th consecutive year.
