Once action moves inside the arena, Georgia Tech will continue the day’s celebrations.

Tech will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the inception of Title IX by honoring several women who played prominent roles in the advancement of women’s athletics.

The first 1,000 fans to enter the new Pavilion will receive a free t-shirt and fans will receive a free commemorative ticket following the game.

With the additional pomp and circumstance surrounding the opener, the parking lot to McCamish Pavilion will be by permit only and parking along 8th Street will not be allowed. The public is welcome to park in East O’Keefe lot (entrance off of 6th Street), Lower Peters (enter off of Fowler Street) or in other available street parking, all of which are free.

Parking along Fowler Street will be ADA parking by handicap permit only.
