This marks the second NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award for Lionberger, who graduated in May 2016 with a degree in biology and is planning on attending medical school to become a doctor. Throughout last season she maintained a 4.00 GPA and started every game at second base. She hit .273 with 21 runs and 38 hits, and led the team with eight doubles and two triples.

It also marks the second honor for Taylor, who earned a 4.00 GPA through last fall and spring in her major of business administration. She graduated in May 2016 and joined Home Depot in its E-Commerce department as a brand advocate. She saw action in both the outfield and the pitching circle, hitting .216 with 16 hits and four runs.

Pierannunzi, who earned the honor in 2015, is majoring in business administration and maintained a 3.50 GPA in 2015-16. She started all 55 games in centerfield, and led the team with 29 runs, 29 walks, and 15 stolen bases.

Also a business administration major and 2015 honoree, Sonnon earned a 3.53 GPA during her sophomore year. She played in 54 games with 44 starts and tallied 15 runs on 22 hits with three doubles, a triple and two home runs.
