ATLANTA - Georgia Tech (12-5, 4-1 ACC) swept all six singles matches after winning all three doubles matches to record a 7-0 win over NC State (10-6, 3-3 ACC) Saturday afternoon at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jacket doubles tandem of Kirsten Flower and Amanda McDowell downed Catherine Grotz and Kristen Bleakley, 8-0 at the No. 3 spot and Whitney McCray teamed with Noelle Hickey to defeat Julia Roach and Lenka Hojckova, 8-0, to give the Yellow Jackets the doubles point. Kristi Miller and Sasha Krupina then finished off the sweep of doubles with an 8-4 win at the top position.

Miller pushed the score to 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Berkeley Brock atop the singles lineup and McDowell made the score 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-3 win against Daria Petrovic at No. 2 singles. McCray clinched match point for the Jackets with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 singles spot and Johansson gave Tech a 5-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6.

Flower and Hickey were pushed to third-set super tiebreakers in their singles matches, but both Yellow Jackets pulled out victories to help Tech sweep the match. After Hickey breezed to a 6-0 win in her first set, she dropped the second, 5-7, and won her third set tiebreaker, 11-9. Flower won her first set, 6-1, but fell 4-6 in the second. She then downed Roach, 10-8, in the third set tiebreaker to finish off the 7-0 win.

Tech returns to action Sunday when it hosts Wake Forest at the Bill Moore Tennis Center at 12 noon.
