Women's Tennis Releases 2017-18 Schedule

THE FLATS -- Coming off a NCAA Round of 16 appearance last season, the Georgia Tech women's tennis team will face a challenging 2017-18 schedule as announced by head coach Rodney Harmon.

"I am excited about our schedule this season," commented Harmon. "We play so many top teams that every match will be a battle."

The Jackets will kick off the fall portion of the schedule with the Duke Invitational, Sept. 15-17, before the ITF Circuit Event 15K takes place in Charleston, S.C., from Sept. 25-Oct. 1. Qualifiers will compete in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. beginning Sept. 30 before the ITF Circuit Event 25K occurs in Sumter, S.C. from Oct. 9-15.

Tech will then head to Athens, Ga., for the ITA Southeast Regionals from Oct. 19-23. For those who qualify, Jackets will compete in the ITA National Fall Championships in Palm Springs, Calif., from Nov. 1-5 before Tech wraps up the fall season at the LSU Invitational, Nov. 3-5.

The Jackets will head north to open the spring slate, appearing in the Michigan Indoors Invitational slated for Jan. 12-15. Tech will once again play host to the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, Jan. 26-29, welcoming Denver, Dartmouth and South Florida to the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.

After hosting Oregon on Feb. 4, Tech will head to Madison, Wisc., for the ITA Team Indoors, Feb. 9-11. In-state rival Georgia awaits the Jackets after returning from indoors on Feb. 23 before Tech opens conference play.

The Jackets open ACC play on the road, visiting Florida State on Feb. 25 before returning home to host Virginia and Louisville on March 2 and 4, respectively. Tech takes a break from league play to head to Northwestern for a tilt on March 9 before hosting Miami on March 14. A pair of opponents await the Jackets in Lubbock, Texas in Cornell and Texas Tech, March 17-18.

Tech will head to North Carolina for a pair of matches at UNC and NC State, March 24-25, and return home to host Notre Dame on March 30 to close out the month.

April opens with Tech visiting Syracuse (April 1) before hosting Duke (April 6) and Wake Forest (April 8) at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. The Jackets then begin a three-match road swing with stops at Pittsburgh (April 13), Boston College (April 15) and Virginia Tech (April 20). Tech closes out the regular season at home on April 22 welcoming Clemson.

The ACC Tournament returns to Cary, N.C. from April 25-29. NCAA Regionals will take place May 11-13 with the NCAA Championships May 17-28 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
