@GT_WTEN is Back in Action at Alabama

The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team heads back to the courts this weekend, traveling to the University of Alabama on Friday and Saturday for the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.

There are 14 teams competing in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic this year and matches will start at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium and Alabama Rec Courts. Friday’s schedule starts off with one round of doubles and then two rounds of singles. On Saturday, the day begins with two rounds of doubles and the final round of singles.

Four Yellow Jackets will represent Georgia Tech in Tuscaloosa – juniors Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer and Rasheeda McAdoo and sophomores Johnnise Renaud and Alexis Prokopuik.  

In doubles, Renaud and McAdoo will compete in the Emily Zabor Draw. The duo received a bye on Friday and will play the winner of Jones/Coots (Chattanooga) and Or/Larner (Northwestern) on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the semifinals.

In the Jenny Whalen Draw, junior Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer and sophomore Alexis Prokopuik take on Savva/Daniell from Alabama at 9 a.m. on Friday.

In singles, Prokopuik will play in the Susan Carver Draw, facing Troy’s Efriliya Herlina. Anton-Ohlmeyer will compete in the Becca Baum Draw, lining up against Jillian Rooney of Northwestern. McAdoo faces Lee Or of Northwestern in the first round of the Courtney McLane Draw. No. 74Renaud received a first round bye in the Weyli Change Draw and will face the winner of No. 122 Erin Larner (Northwestern) and No. 87 Natalie Suk (Ole Miss) in the afternoon on Friday.
