@GT_TrackNField Qualifies 11 for NCAA East Prelims

THE FLATS — The Georgia Tech track and field team qualified 11 student-athletes for the 2015 NCAA East Preliminaries set for May 28-30 in Jacksonville, Fla. hosted by North Florida.

The Jackets had five women and six men qualify for the preliminary meet in hopes of finishing in the top 12 of their events to then qualify for the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships set for June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore.

Katie Townsend, Melissa Fairey and Kelly Meyer all qualified in the 10,000 meters, while Bailey Weiland (high jump) and Samantha Becker (pole vault) will also compete in Jacksonville.

Brandon Lasater and Zack Fanelty will compete in the 800 meters. They are joined by Jeremy Greenwald (1,500m), Spencer Allen (110H), Nathan Daniel (pole vault) and Myles McDavid (long jump).
