TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Georgia Tech volleyball team (11-5, 2-2 ACC) fell at No. 17 Florida State (11-4, 4-0) in three sets Sunday afternoon at Tully Gym.

How it Happened
In set one, the Yellow Jackets stayed close to the Seminoles throughout the game. At 24-20, Georgia Tech fended off two Florida State set-points, pulling within two, 24-22, but the Seminoles captured the opening frame, 25-22.

Georgia Tech was down 24-14 in game two and held off set-point with a 6-0 rally, but fell in set two 25-20. The Seminoles jumped out to a 9-1 lead in game three and never looked back, winning 25-13.

“Florida State is a great team, and in order to be able to compete with great teams we need to do great things and we didn't,” head coach Michelle Collier said. “We played below our potential in every aspect of the game, and the focus now needs to be on how we get collectively better next week and be ready to face two tough opponents again.”
