2010 Bowl Game Ticket Information
Dear Yellow Jacket Fans --
The Georgia Tech Athletic Department is in the Holiday spirit and I'm counting on our fans returning the favor by supporting the Yellow Jackets when we face Air Force in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA on Dec. 27th at 5 p.m. ET.
You may be aware that Georgia Tech will be competing in its 14th consecutive bowl game. In honor of that, our department is reaching out to thank our fans for your support over those years by offering the first 5,000 ticket purchasers a price of just $14 for your Independence Bowl ticket. This special price is compliments of Georgia Tech Athletics and will remain in effect until Dec. 12th. Even with this reduced price your A-T points remain the priority for your sideline seating placement in this cozy 49,000-seat historic venue. There will be no additional fees charged above the $14 ticket price.
We all realize that times have been tough economically and at the same time our season has not been everything we all wanted. But we now have a great opportunity to all pull together and make a statement for Georgia Tech as a historically attractive bowl team with dedicated and passionate fans.
We really want our fans to know how much we appreciate your loyalty and at the same time we need to do everything possible to insure we have a strong presence in Shreveport. I hope you all look at this as a fun and cost-effective way to support the program and have a good time to boot.
Shreveport is a manageable eight-hour drive, all on Interstate 20 from Atlanta, and the Shreveport / Bossier City area has many outstanding and economical hotels. There are also several casinos in the area providing gaming, entertainment and dining.
Last year, another school from the state of Georgia appeared in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl and had a high level of fan support at the game. Now is the time for our fans to step up and represent our school! We truly hope our $14 ticket offer provides some extra incentive for Yellow Jacket fans to show our colors as well. My conversations with the folks from the Independence Bowl indicate a great respect for Georgia Tech and its athletic program. They are certainly counting on us to rally around our team and this 2010 game.
Not the least of this appeal should be taking into account our football team and head coach. They are committed to finish this season with a bowl victory. They have never stopped fighting and playing with Georgia Tech pride. They will attack this assignment with Air Force with all of the fire and determination you would expect of them. This will be a great matchup and a fun football game to watch.
Director of Athletics

Georgia Tech will facilitate the distribution of your donated ticket(s). Donating a ticket is a great way to support Georgia Tech and "pay it forward" to someone who may not have had an opportunity to attend.
Support Georgia Tech by purchasing (or donating) game tickets through our athletic ticket office and not through the secondary market and/or other entities.
