2013 (senior): Named honorable mention All-ACC by both the media and the coaches… invited to play in the College All-Star Bowl… was on the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award… played and started in all 13 games… led the team in rushing (884 yards) while averaging 5.5 yards per attempt… caught just two passes but for an average of 35.5 yards and one touchdown… rushed for a touchdown and caught a 59-yard TD pass in the season opener vs. Elon (Aug. 31)… carried 17 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns in a win over North Carolina (Sept. 21)… rushed 16 times for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns at Miami (Oct. 5)… broke the 100-yard rushing barrier with 107 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries at Virginia (Oct. 26)… followed that performance with 94 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 carries vs. Pittsburgh (Nov. 2)… rushed for a career-high 111 yards on just eight carries and added a rushing touchdown and a 12-yard reception vs. Alabama A&M (Nov. 23)… carried 21 times for 100 yards in the regular season finale vs. Georgia (Nov. 30).

2012 (junior): Played in 12 games and started seven times… missed the Presbyterian (Sept. 8) and Virginia (Sept. 15) games with an injury… started seven of the final nine games of the season… rushed 135 times for 612 yards and four touchdowns… caught two passes including one for a TD… fumbled just one time (it was recovered)… his five biggest rushing outputs came in the final five games of the season… rushed for 43 yards and caught one pass in the season opener at Virginia Tech (Sept. 3)… rushed 11 times for 70 yards and a touchdown vs. Duke (Nov. 17)… ran for 71 yards and a TD at Georgia (Nov. 24)… carried 19 times for 91 yards in the ACC Championship Game against Florida State (Dec. 1)… rushed 17 times for a career-high 99 yards and caught a three-yard TD pass vs. USC in the Hyundai Sun Bowl (Dec. 31).

2011 (sophomore): Played in 12 games and started 10 times… did not play in the Hyundai Sun Bowl because of injury… ranked second on the team in rushing (698 yards)… rushed for seven touchdowns and caught one touchdown pass… also had a two-point conversion for 50 total points on the season… averaged 5.2 yards per carry… produced 727 all-purpose yards… had four carries for longer than 20 yards… rushed for a touchdown in his first career game as a B-back, the season opener vs. Western Carolina (Sept. 1)… rushed 12 times for 91 yards at Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 10)… carried nine times for 70 yards and a pair of TDs vs. Kansas (Sept. 17)… had nine carries for 73 yards and caught a 9-yard touchdown pass at NC State (Oct. 1)… carried 14 times for 83 yards in a win over Maryland (Oct. 8)… rushed a career-high 15 times for 68 yards and a TD vs. Clemson (Oct. 29)… rushed 13 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns at Duke (Nov. 19).

2010 (redshirt freshman): Saw action in five games — vs. South Carolina State, Virginia, Middle Tennessee State, Clemson and Virginia Tech… rushed seven times for 58 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and one touchdown… had a long run of 20 yards… did not attempt a pass… rushed three times for a season-best 34 yards in the season opener against South Carolina State (Sept. 4)… carried four times for 24 yards and his first career touchdown against Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 23).

2009 (true freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Calhoun County HS… a Scout.com three-star recruit… No. 54 QB in the nation (Scout.com)… No. 20 athlete in the nation (ESPN)… finalist for South Carolina Mr. Football award… second team all-state selection for all classifications… named ESPN[apos]s National High School Player of the Week… played in South Carolina[apos]s North-South All-Star Game… passed for over 1,000 yards and rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a senior in 2008… threw for 1,492 yards and 19 touchdowns, rushed for 895 yards and 11 TDs, picked off five passes including two for touchdowns as a junior in 2007 for the Saints… holds school records for total offense in a season (3,900), passing touchdowns (37), career passing yards (5,800) and career rushing yards (2,800)… led CCHS to three regional championships and Sims was 28-6 as a starter during his career… coached by Walter Wilson, earning four varsity letters in football including two seasons as team captain… also played two seasons of basketball.
