Opened the season as Tech[apos]s starting shortstop, moved to second base for an 11-game stint and then settled back at short for the balance of the season… Started 62 games… Hit .266 for the season with solid power numbers – 11 doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBI… His seven homers were a career high and third-most on the club… His 10 stolen bases (in 14 attempts) were a career high and fourth on the team… Hit .304 over the final 31 games of the season with six of his doubles, five homers and 20 RBI… Went 5-for-11 (.454) with a double, a homer and three RBI in the Boston College series… Played error-free in 17 defensive chances as Tech turned six double plays in the BC series… Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored the go-ahead run in 6-4 win over Mercer (4/10)… Had two hits and drove in two runs in the 8-7 win at Wake Forest (4/14)… Had another solid series at No. 6 North Carolina, going 4-for-11, with a double, an RBI, two runs and a stolen base — he scored the game-winning run in Saturday[apos]s 4-2 series clincher… Was clutch in the win over Georgia in front of 19,669 at Turner Field (4/24)… He doubled and scored in the third inning; hit a two-run homer that gave Tech 3-2 lead in the seventh; and in the ninth, he singled with two outs, stole second and scored game-winning run… Collected his first career multi-homer game by hitting two and finishing 3-for-4 with three RBI vs. Clemson (4/27)… Drove in at least a run in all three games of the Clemson series, played error-free on defense and stole two bags… Had an RBI in the Georgia win that clinched the season series (5/9) and was in on all four double plays (tied season high) turned by Tech… Also came up big during Tech[apos]s run to the ACC Championship with four hits, six RBI and two home runs in the tournament, including a homer in the championship game win over Miami… Had three hits in the NCAA Gainesville Regional, including a 2-for-4 effort with an RBI in the 6-2 loss to No. 1 Florida.
