Two school records fall as men finish third, women finish fourth
Before Tech: A four-year member on the swim team at Alpharetta High School … A three-time NISCA all-American … Ranked as high as No. 9 overall in the state of Georgia for the class of 2017 … Led his team to a state runner-up finish in 2015 … Was a key part in guiding his team to Fulton County Championships in both 2014 and 2015 … Tabbed the Team MVP as a junior in 2016 … Was a team captain his senior season … Was also a nominee for the 2016 Georgia Positive Athlete Award … Holds Alpharetta High School team records in the 50 free (21.04), 100 free (45.51), 200 medley relay (1:34.01), 200 free relay (1:26.67) and 400 free relay (3:04.33) … Finished third overall in the 50 free (21.04) and second in the 100 free (45.51) at the 2017 Georgia 6A High School State Championships … Placed second overall in the 50 free (21.09) and fourth in the 100 free (45.99) at the 2016 Georgia 6A High School State Championships … Also a member of the Dynamo Swim Club team … Swam the anchor leg (45.51) for the Dynamo 400 medley relay that earned the bronze medal and set a Georgia State record with a time of 3:16.53 at the 2015 Speedo Winter Juniors East … Made the finals and placed 12th in the 100 free (45.16) and anchored Dynamo’s fourth-place 400 medley relay (44.62) at 2016 Speedo Winter Juniors East … A three-time USA Swimming scholastic all-American … Also a four-time honor roll member at Alpharetta High School.
