Four Jackets Named To All-ACC Academic Team

THE FLATS – Four members of the Georgia Tech swimming & diving team have been named to the 2013-14 All-ACC Academic Team. Juniors Andrew Kosic and Nico van Duijn headlined the list for the Yellow Jackets as three-time selections.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

For the men, Kosic and van Duijn were joined by first-time honoree sophomore Mats Westergren. On the women’s side, sophomore diver Shannon Lumbra garnered her second straight honor.

Kosic, van Duijn and Westergren each represented Georgia Tech at the NCAA National Championship meet, with Kosic earning All-America honors in the 50 free. Lumbra qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championship.
