2003: Hit 17 of 21 field goals, an accuracy rate of 81 percent, the second-best season percentage in Tech history . . . Hit 10 consecutive field goals to tie the school record (Luke Manget in 2002) before missing his final attempt against Tulsa in the Humanitarian Bowl . . . His 17 field goals is the third-best season total in school history, trailing Luke Manget (2001) and Scott Sisson (1992) with 19 . . . Ranks fifth in the ACC and 27th nationally with 1.31 FG per game . . . Had the second-best field goal percentage in the ACC, trailing only Virginia’s Connor Hughes but ahead of first-team all-ACC selection Nick Novak . . . The Yellow Jackets’ leading scorer with 79 points, the fifth-highest season total for points by kicking in Tech history . . . Made three field goals in Tech’s win over NC State, including a career-long 48-yarder.
2002: Filled in against North Carolina when starter Luke Manget suffered a groin injury in pregame warmups . . . Hit all three of his extra points against the Tar Heels . . . Also converted a field goal that was nullified by a UNC penalty when Tech elected to go for a touchdown . . . Had at least one kickoff in four other games . . . Credited with on tackle on kickoff coverage.
2001: Backup to Manget but did not see any action in 2001.
2000: Played in one game and booted five extra points against Virginia when Manget was injured . . . Also handled kickoffs in three games, Virginia, Maryland and Georgia . . . Former walk-on who joined the program in 1999 and has earned a scholarship.
HIGH SCHOOL: Member of 1997 state championship team at Parkview High, catching a 56-yard touchdown pass in the title game . . . Two-time all-county punter . . . Also an all-county performer in golf who reached the state championships as a senior . . . National runner-up in the NFL’s Punt, Pass and Kick competition at age 11 in 1992.
