Jackets hoping to 'zone out' Utah defensive tackle

Coming off an outstanding redshirt freshman season in which he was named Freshmen All-American by four sources, earned ACC All-Academic honors and helped Georgia Tech lead the nation in rushing offense... an athletic and aggressive player with good size... played on both the offensive and defensive line in high school... a good student who made the academic honor roll in high school, maintaining a 3.75 GPA.... made the ACC Academic Honor Roll for 2009-10... voted by teammates as "most likely to make a 4.0 GPA."

2010 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 12 games and started nine times... named first team Freshmen All-America by the Football Writers and Phil Steele... earned second team honors from Rivals... named to the ACC's All-Academic Team... battled nagging injuries throughout the season... did not play vs. Virginia (Oct. 9) and did not start at Kansas (Sept. 11), vs. Miami (Nov. 13) and vs. Duke (Nov. 20) because of injuries.
