Tech football may lack A-list superstars, but the Jackets have depth at most positions
Coming off a productive sophomore season and ready to compete for a starting job on the defensive line... compensates for his relatively small size with speed and strength... has played in 18 career games.
2012 (sophomore): Played in all 14 games as the primary back-up at nose tackle... recorded 22 tackles, including 13 solo tackles... had 3.0 tackles for loss, one interception and one forced fumble... registered a tackle for loss in the season opener at Virginia Tech (Sept. 3)... had three tackles vs. Miami (Sept. 22)... recorded his first career interception when he picked off a Tajh Boyd pass and rumbled 17 yards on the return at Clemson (Oct. 6)... had three tackles and a forced fumble at Maryland (Nov. 3)... had three tackles and a half-tackle for loss at Georgia (Nov. 24).
2011 (redshirt freshman): Played in four games as a reserve on the defensive line... saw action vs. Western Carolina, Middle Tennessee State, Kansas and NC State... credited with one tackle on the season... that tackle came in his first college game, vs. Western Carolina (Sept. 1). 2010 (true freshman): Redshirted.
