One of Georgia Tech's best big-play threats... a versatile player who started six games in 2010... Tech's leading returning rusher... productive as a rusher (540 career yards), receiver (221 yards) and kick returner (1,005 yards)... was one of seven true freshman to see action in 2009... served as Tech's primary kick returner in 2009 and the first part of 2010... holds Georgia Tech single-season records for kickoff returns (37) and kickoff return yards (888) in `09... a very strong runner, productive as a slashing, straight-line ball-carrier ... comes from the same high school as former Yellow Jacket guard Cord Howard.
2010 (Sophomore):
Played in all 13 games and started six times... rushed 53 times for 516 yards and a whopping 9.7 yards per carry... rushed for four touchdowns... Tech's second-leading receiver with 12 receptions for 195 yards (16.2 yards per reception)... returned seven kickoffs for 117 yards... rushed five times for 37 yards, had one reception for 19 yards and four kickoff returns for 74 yards at Kansas (Sept. 11)... his only rushing attempt at North Carolina was a 73-yard touchdown scamper at Kenan Stadium (Sept. 18)... his lone carry the next week was a 10-yard touchdown run vs. NC State (Sept. 25)... had two receptions for 23 yards in the win at Wake Forest (Oct. 2)... rushed three times for 24 yards and a touchdown and had a pair of receptions for 51 yards in the victory over Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 23)... carried four times for 54 yards and hauled in two receptions for 37 yards at Clemson... rushed three times for 38 yards and a touchdown at Virginia Tech (Nov. 4)... had career highs for rushing attempts (12) and rushing yards (88) vs. Miami (Nov. 13)... rushed eight times for 39 yards and had two receptions for 16 yards at Georgia (Nov. 27).
2009 (Freshman)
Was a key contributor as a true freshman... served as Tech's primary kick returner and a back-up at A-back... had 37 kickoff returns for 88 yards (24.0 ypa)... ranked seventh in the ACC and 63rd nationally... ranked fourth on the team in all-purpose yardage (67.1 ypg)... rushed five times for 26 yards and had two receptions for 26 yards... had a career-high six kickoff returns for 117 yards vs. Clemson in the ACC Championship Game (Dec. 5)... had an 83-yard kickoff return and 139 all-purpose yards at Duke (Nov. 14)... had three carries for 20 yards an three kickoff returns for 55 yards at Vanderbilt (Oct. 31)... had four kick returns for 111 yards at Miami (Sept. 17).
High School
Central HS... rushed for 1,252 yards on 214 carries and scored 18 touchdowns as a senior... his 18 touchdowns in 2008 tied a school record... as a junior, rushed for 1,278 yards and 12 touchdowns... a first team all-state selection, two-time All-Bi-City and two-time team MVP... played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic... coached by Ron Nelson, earning three varsity letters as a running back... also ran track for four years (sprinter) and played basketball for three seasons.
