The second-most experienced quarterback on the Georgia Tech roster... a local product and Middle Tennessee State transfer became eligible last fall after sitting out the 2012 season under NCAA transfer rules... an accurate passer with a strong arm... a good student who has made the Dean's List and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2014 (junior): Saw action in six games as the backup quarterback ... Rushed 45 times for 204 yards and seven touchdowns, which was second-best on the team ... Five of his seven touchdowns were 1-yard runs ...Completed 9-of-13 passes (.692) and threw one touchdown pass ...Set career-highs in rushing yards (87), carries (13) and longest rush (37 yards) while rushing for two touchdowns for the third time in his career at NC State (Nov. 8) ... Also went 2-for-2 passing and threw one touchdown pass at NC State ...Rushed for 32 yards vs. Virginia (Nov. 1) ...Carried seven times for 33 yards at Pitt (Oct. 25) ...Set career-highs in completions (seven), passing yards (125) and longest completion (26 yards), caught a 15-yard pass from B.J. Bostic and rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns vs. Duke (Oct. 11) ...Rushed a career-high 10 times for 21 yards and a career-best two touchdowns at Tulane (Sept. 6)... Rushed for a one-yard touchdown vs. Georgia Southern (Sept. 13).
2013 (sophomore):Saw action in four games as the No. 3 quarterback behind Vad Lee and Justin Thomas... attempted just four passes, completed one for three yards... rushed 18 times for 119 yards (6.6 yards per carry) and two touchdowns... rushed four times for 24 yards in his first college game, vs. Elon (Aug. 31)... had his first career pass completion and rushed three times for 33 yards and a touchdown at Miami (Oct. 5)... had career highs for rushing attempts (8) and rushing yards (52) to go with a rushing TD vs. Alabama A&M (Nov. 23).
2012: Sat out the season as a transfer... played on the scout team... impressed the coaches with his passing ability.
2011: Was a true freshman at Middle Tennessee State and redshirted the season.
High School: Named the Atlanta Journal Constitution's All-Classification Player of the Year and first team all-state... voted the 2010 Atlanta North Forsyth/Fulton TD Club Offensive Player of the Year... a 2010 ESPN/Rise finalist for Mr. Football USA... owns school career records in passing yards (3,987), touchdown passes (44), rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (37), and rushing yards by a QB (2,385)... led Chattahoochee to the 2010 Class AAAA state championship and a 15-0 record after completing 170 of 249 passes for 2,664 yards and 30 touchdowns (only two interceptions)... rushed for 1,509 yards (6.7 yds/carry) and 21 touchdowns to become first player in school history to pass and rush for more than 1,000 yards in the same season... in the state title game against Starr's Mill, he passed for 112 yards and rushed for 108 yards... as a junior, he threw for 1,322 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding 1,149 yards and 17 scores on the ground... named North Fulton Offensive Player of the Year in 2009... lettered in football and wrestling... played for Coach Terry Crowder.
