Tech Announces Football Dismissals, Suspension


Spring Practice Update #4

Tech practiced in full pads on Grant Field Saturday morning

Henry was dismissed from the team in July 2014 for a violation of Georgia Tech's student-athlete code of conduct.

A good athlete who is making the move this season from wide receiver to defensive end... hopes to help fill the void left by the departure of starters Emmanuel Dieke and Jeremiah Attaochu.

2013 (redshirt freshman): Saw action in two games -- at Duke (Sept. 14) and vs. Alabama A&M (Nov. 23)... was injured part of the season. 2012 (true freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Cook County HS... played for head coach Ken Cofer... rated with three stars by Rivals... ranked the No. 76 recruit in Georgia and the No. 134 wide receiver in the nation... caught 47 passes for 987 yards and eight touchdowns in 2011... his 987 receiving yards set a school record... first team all-state and all-region pick at receiver... also played outside linebacker... clocked at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash...played the Georgia North-South All-Star Game.

Personal: Full name is Travin Broquis Henry... son of Glenda Cohen and the late Broderick Henry... born Nov. 8, 1993 in Adel, Ga... brother of Jamesha Henry and Tyler Cohen... began playing football when his parents signed him up at age eight... was a member of high school's student leadership team... a business administration major.
