* 2012 Preseason Third Team All-ACC {Punt Returner} (Phil Steele)

A bruising, hard-nosed runner who is dependable, consistent and takes care of the football... did not have a single fumble in 133 rushing attempts last season... teams with David Sims and others to give the Yellow Jackets great depth and production at the B-back position... Laskey and Sims combined to rush for 1,309 yards in 2012... began his career as a defensive back and punt returner as a true freshman in 2011... moved to B-back in the spring of 2012 and quickly adapted to the position.

2012 (sophomore): Played in all 14 games and started six times... made four starts in September... led the team in rushing yards per game (49.8)... rushed 133 times for a team-best 697 yards... averaged 5.2 yards per carry and had just one rushing attempt for negative yardage... had six receptions for 122 yards (20.3 yards per catch) and two touchdowns... had 819 all-purpose yards... had seven offensive plays of 20-plus yards, including two longer than 50 yards... in just his second game at B-back, rushed 12 times for 116 yards and a touchdown vs. Presbyterian (Sept. 8)... had a 70-yard TD reception and rushed for 43 yards vs. Virginia (Sept. 15)... erupted for 101 yards on 17 carries and had an 11-yard reception in the win over Boston College (Oct. 20)... rushed a career-high 18 times for 72 yards and had two receptions for 40 yards and a TD vs. Duke (Nov. 17)... had six carries for 60 yards in the win over USC in the Hyundai Sun Bowl (Dec. 31).

2011 (true freshman): Played in eight games... was Georgia Tech's primary punt returner as a true freshman the first two months of the season... had a team-high 11 punt returns for 94 yards (8.5 yards per attempt)... had a long return of 28 yards... recorded eight tackles on defense and special teams... had two punt returns totalling 31 yards in his first college game, vs. Western Carolina (Sept. 1)... had a career-high four punt returns vs. Kansas (Sept. 17) for 27 yards... returned two punts for 29 yards in the win over Maryland (Oct. 8)... his only punt return at Virginia (Oct. 15) went for 16 yards... did not play in the final four games of the season... recorded two tackles in the season opener vs. Western Carolina (Sept. 1)... had three tackles in key ACC win vs. North Carolina (Sept. 24).

High School: Starr's Mill HS... earned three varsity letters as a running back, linebacker and safety... served one year as a team captain... played for coach Chad Phillips... helped lead team to a regional title and state runner-up in 2010... first team all-state, all-region and all-county as a senior... 4A state player of the year... ranked the No. 12 fullback prospect nationally by Scout... ranked the 39th-best prospect in the state by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution... rushed for 1,515 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior... set 11 school records in 2010... also earned two letters in basketball and four in track.
