Highly-rated junior golfer from Georgia who transferred to Tech from Akron and enrolled for the fall, 2011 semester ... Attended Akron for the 2010-11 year and enjoyed a fine fall campaign, leading the Zips in stroke average before deciding to transfer.
2012-13: - Tournament Results
Played in two events, both in the fall, and compiled a 74.2 stroke average ... Tied for 34th at the United States Collegiate Championship in Alpharetta, Ga. (223, +7) ... Earned a 87-74 record in the 2012 fall season ... Recorded the second lowest round by a Tech golfer in the United States Collegiate Championship with a 70 in the second round.
2012 Summer Highlights: 5th at the Greystone Invitational ... T16 at the Southeastern Amateur ... T32 at the Palmetto Amateur.
2011-12: Competed in the Carpet Capital Collegiate as a counting member of the Jackets and the United States Collegiate Championship as an individual ... Finished the year with a stroke average of 77.2 ... Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2011 Summer Highlights: Tied for 35th at the Cardinal Amateur in Greensboro, N.C. (217, +7).
2010-11 (at Akron): Appeared in six events during the first half of his freshman campaign, posting a scoring average of 73.94 over 17 rounds ... Was second on the team in Par 3 scoring (3.28) and Par 4 scoring (4.16) ... Carded four rounds of par or better and did not card a round higher than 77 ... Carded a season-best round of 70 during the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship (Sept. 24) ... recorded two top-25 finishes in his first three collegiate events ... Finished tied for 17th place at the Mason Rudolph Championship (Sept. 24-26) with a 1-over 214 (70-72-72) ... Followed that up with a tie for 11th at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-3) ... Studied at Atlanta Metro College for the spring semester to earn the necessary credits to enroll at Tech.
During High School: Ranked 26th in the nation and eighth in the 2010 class ... Ranked first in Georgia for the 2010 Class according to the AJGA Polo national rankings ... 2010 Rolex Junior All-American, 2nd Team ... Two-time Georgia PGA Junior Tour Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008 ... Had nine wins, including the prestigious Scott Robertson Memorial Junior in 2010 and the AJGA Charles Howell III Junior Championship in 2009 as a junior golfer ... Posted 13 top-five finishes in prominent junior golf events, including a fourth place tie at the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions in 2010 ... Finished in the top-10 in over half of the events played during his junior golf career between 2006 and 2010, including going seven-for-seven on the Georgia PGA Junior Tour in 2008 and eight-for-nine on the GA PGA Junior Tour in 2007 ...
