THE FLATS – It wasn’t an assault on the top of the leaderboard as they had done at Torrey Pines last weekend, but Georgia Tech alumni had another solid weekend as Chesson Hadley, Cameron Trinagle and Matt Kuchar all made the cut at the PGA Tour’s ultimate pro-am event, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am … Anders Albertson continues to play well in 2018 … Larry Mize makes first Champions Tour start … this and more in the Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

Hadley, who ranks 14th on the FedEx Cup points list, led the charge by tying for 35th place, posting a 72-hole total of 281 (-6). Tringale took advantage of the comforts of his Northern California roots by tying for 47th place at 283 (-4), including a near-eagle in the opening round, and Kuchar tied for 62nd at 285 (-2). Richy Werenski, Stewart Cink and David Duval, making a rare start, missed the cut.

Hadley not only is 14th in FedEx Cup points and 16th in official money (nearly $1.5 million), but ranks sixth in scoring average at 69.602.

In the opening round of the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Cameron Tringale nearly holes out from 170 yards on the par-5 18th hole.

Kuchar and Tringale continue their 2018 schedule this week at the Genesis Open at historic Riviera Country Club while Ollie Schniederjans rejoins the tour after skipping Pebble Beach.

Web.com Tour: Anders Albertson continued to play solidly in 2018, posting three top-25 finishes, including a tie for 20th at the Club Colombia Championship. The Tech All-American finished last weekend’s event with scores of 69-68-70 to post a 279 (-5). Taking his first round out in each tournament, Albertson has averaged 68.8 in rounds two through four and stands 41st in earnings. Roberto Castro also made the cut with a tie for 39th. The Web.com Tour takes a month off before resuming March 8-11 in Mexico.

PGA Tour Champions: Larry Mize made his first 2018 start on the PGA Tour Champions, tying for 59th place at the Boca Raton Championship. Charlie Rymer, a two-time All-American at Georgia Tech and an analyst at Golf Channel for the last 10 years, made his Champions Tour debut at Boca Raton, but struggled at the finish with a final-round 87. He has sponsor exemptions to four more events this year, including the upcoming Mitsubishi Electric championship at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga.
