The Demon Deacons evened it back up at 2-2, Andrew Li fell to No. 14 Skander Mansouri on court two in three sets, 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-3. Freshman Carlos Divar battled into a tiebreaker in the third set but fell to Dennis Uspensky, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

Liberty Singles Update: Fiegel struck first in the second match with a 6-1, 6-2 rout of Diego Castano. Eubanks gave the Jackets the lead at 2-1, finishing off Vince Salas in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Chris Yun took care of business on court six, defeating Ryker Heller 6-3, 6-0. Daniel Yun clinched the win for the Jackets with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Max Borcuti. Benito brought the score to 5-1 Tech with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Eddie Gutierrez. Li added the final point for Tech with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 rout of Chase Burton.

Liberty Doubles Update: The Jackets came out to a sluggish start in the second match of the day. Eubanks and Yun dropped their match on court one to give the Flames the advantage. Elijah Melendez and Phillip Gresk lost their match on court three to give Liberty the doubles point.

Head coach Kenny Thorne says: “Wake Forest has really good doubles. I felt like we hung in there at one and two well and had a tough match at three so they got up on us quick. I really like how we responded in singles. We came out and won five of six first sets. We were playing with a lot of confidence and had the opportunity to win. Credit to Wake for really stepping up at number two and starting serving really well. That’s why they’re the best team in the nation right now. They found a way to squeak it out. It’s tough because we weren’t hoping to play close, we were expecting to win. I told the guys, we don’t hang our head. We showed how tough we are and how close we are. We just need to get a little better, not a lot better, just a little better.”
