2001-02: One of the nation’s top 400-meter performers…Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400 meters, placing 11th…Won the ACC outdoor title in the 400, clocking a season-best time of 45.68…Earned all-conference honors on four occasions…Won the 400 in three additional outdoor meets (FSU Relays, Florida Relays, Jesse Owens Track Classic) …Finished second in the 400 at the ACC Indoor Championships… Placed first at the Tar Heel Elite Invitational and second at the Tyson Invitational during the indoor season…Indoor season best mark (47.55) came at the Tyson Invitational… Also a member of Tech’s 4x400-meter relay team that captured ACC crowns in both the indoor and outdoor seasons …Relay met the NCAA provisional mark with a time of 3:06.26 at the ACC Outdoor Championships…Team captain.
2000-01: Redshirted due to injury.
1999-2000: Continued his impressive career, earning All-America honors for the second and third times in his career...Was seventh at the NCAAs in the 400 with a time of 45.72 and was part of Tech’s 4x400 relay team which was sixth with a time of 3:05.46...One of Tech’s top performers during the indoor season with a time of 47.17 and a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championships...Had the Jackets’ top time in the 400 during the outdoor season, with a personal best 45.36 at the Georgia Tech Invitational...Won both the Clemson Invitational (46.16) and the Orange & Purple Classic (45.88) in the spring...Qualified for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials.
1998-99: Ran the anchor leg of Tech’s All-America 4x400 relay team, which finished fifth at the NCAA Championships with a time of 3:03.43...Was sidelined for most of the indoor season with an injury...Had a top time in the 400 of 49.81 at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the outdoor season...Led the Jackets to the collegiate 4x400 relay title at the Penn Relays with a time of 3:07.47...Finished sixth at the ACC Championships with a time of 47.72.
High School: Swarn was the Colorado 400-meter state champ in both 1997 and ‘98...Also won the state 200-meter crown in 1998...He finished second at the National Scholastic meet and was part of the silver medal-winning 4x400 team at the World Junior Meet...Earned All-America honors while being ranked third in the nation in the prep 400 meters by Track & Field Magazine.
