October 13 Women's Basketball Practice Report
The Yellow Jackets held a full scrimmage today before fall break
Prep: Four-year basketball letterwinner at Bellarmine Prep for coach Kevin Meines... Three-year team captain... As a senior, she averaged 15.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 3.6 apg while leading her team to a 22-7 record, including a perfect 14-0 conference mark... She scored at least 20 points nine times in her final prep campaign... In 2008, she was named The Narrows League Four A Freshman of the Year and earned league MVP honors in 2010 and 2011... She helped lead her team to The Narrows League titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011... Hartwell was all-state second team as a junior and first team as a senior... She earned the 2011 Narrows League Academic Award... A multisport star, she helped her team to state track and field titles in 2008 and 2009 as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team that captured the state crown in 2008, and titles in the 4x100 and 4x400 in 2009... Was rated a four-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz and the 29th best guard in the class of 2011.
