Atlanta - Georgia Tech senior center Sasha Goodlett has been selected as one of 15 players invited to the 2012 WNBA Draft presented by Boost Mobile, held Monday, at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn.

ESPN2 will provide coverage and analysis of the first round beginning at 2 p.m. ET. In addition, ESPN3 will simulcast the entire draft. The second and third rounds will be televised on ESPNU and NBA TV.

"I'm really excited about going to the WNBA Draft," Goodlett said. "It's first and foremost a prestigious event that I am very honored to be invited to. I'm honored and grateful, and ready to embrace this new experience. For me personally, it means all my hard work over the last four years meant something. Every year, I set a goal of being a better player than I was the year before and it just shows my hard work has paid off."

Goodlett could become the Yellow Jackets' second overall and second straight first-round draft pick. Last season, Alex Montgomery became the highest Tech player drafted when she was selected No. 10 overall by the New York Liberty. Goodlett would become the seventh Yellow Jacket drafted in the WNBA and the fifth under head coach MaChelle Joseph.

Goodlett finished her career at Georgia Tech ranked in the top in school history in points scored (10th, 1,364), rebounds (9th, 760) and blocked shots (5th, 127).

During her final campaign on the Flats, Goodlett earned All-ACC Second Team and ACC All-Tournament First Team accolades as she helped the Jackets to 12 ACC wins and 26 overall wins, both program bests. The Yellow Jackets played in the ACC Championship Game for only the second time in school history and advanced to Tech's first Sweet 16.

"We are excited and proud of Sasha for being one of the 15 pro prospects invited by the WNBA to ESPN in Bristol for the WNBA Draft," Joseph said. "This is a huge accomplishment for Sasha and a great compliment to our program at Georgia Tech."

Goodlett and fellow seniors LaQuananisha Adams, Mo Bennett, Chelsea Regins and Metra Walthour finished their careers as Georgia Tech's winningest class with 95 career wins and a .704 career winning percentage, the first Jacket class to win 70 percent of all games. The five also won more ACC games, 37, than other previous Tech class.
