No. 2 Women’s Tennis Heads to Pittsburgh, Boston College

THE FLATS – The No. 2 Georgia Tech women’s tennis team opens a three-match road swing this weekend, visiting Pittsburgh and Boston College. First serve at Pitt on Friday is slated for 4 p.m. before the Jackets visit Boston College for an 11 a.m. first serve on Sunday.

THE SCENE: Coming off a pair of ACC wins at home this past weekend, the Jackets have four regular season matches left to the season, three of which take place on the road. Tech carries a 16-4 overall record into the weekend and an 8-2 league mark, which puts the Jackets second in the ACC standings.

Pittsburgh (6-11, 0-10 ACC) has dropped the past six matches, most recently a 4-3 setback against Clemson. The Panthers are 6-6 when competing at home this season.

Boston College (11-9, 3-8 ACC) hosts Notre Dame on Friday before welcoming Tech on Sunday. The Eagles have lost three of the past four matches, last defeating Pittsburgh on April 1.
